Typesetting: AI assists in generating publication-ready formatted documents.
All AI outputs are advisory. Final editorial decisions are made by human editors. Manuscript content may be processed by third-party AI service providers under data processing agreements. No manuscript content is used to train third-party AI models.
5. Third-Party Recipients

Payment processors — to collect submission fees, process refunds, and issue reviewer payments
AI service providers — to support editorial triage, reviewer matching, integrity checks, revision assessment, and typesetting
DOI registration agencies — to assign and register persistent digital object identifiers for published articles
Identity verification providers — to authenticate author accounts via institutional or researcher identifiers
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers — to host the website, store manuscripts, and operate editorial systems
International payment transfer services — to process reviewer honorarium payments across jurisdictions
6. International Transfers
Some of the third parties listed above are based outside the United Kingdom. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the UK Information Commissioner, or transfers to countries recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection.

Published article metadata and author information: retained indefinitely as part of the scholarly record.
Rejected manuscript data: retained for 2 years following the final decision, then securely deleted.
Reviewer records and reports: retained for 5 years from the date of the review.
Financial and payment records: retained for 7 years in accordance with UK tax and accounting requirements.
Server access logs: retained for 90 days.
Contact form enquiries: retained for 1 year after resolution.

These terms apply to the purchase of manuscript submission and article processing services from Westminster Academic Press (a trading name of Futures House Limited).
2. The Service
The combined submission and article processing charge (“APC”) of £2,495.00 per manuscript covers submission handling, editorial assessment, peer review arrangement, editorial decision-making, and (if accepted) copyediting, typesetting, and open-access publication.
The fee does not guarantee that a manuscript will be accepted for publication.
3. When Payment Is Due
Payment is due at the time of manuscript submission. Your submission will not enter editorial review until payment or a fee waiver has been approved.
4. Payment Method
Payments are processed securely via our PCI-compliant payment provider. We accept major credit and debit cards.
5. VAT
The stated fee is exclusive of VAT. UK VAT will be added where applicable, in accordance with UK tax law. Most international customers will not be charged UK VAT. Where VAT is charged, it will be itemised on your payment receipt.
6. Fee Waivers
Fee waivers are available on a case-by-case basis for authors demonstrating financial hardship or from low- or middle-income countries. Waiver decisions do not affect editorial outcomes.
7. Consumer Rights Act 2015
If you are a consumer, you have the right to expect that the service will be carried out with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with information provided, and within a reasonable time.
8. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period
By submitting your manuscript and making payment, you expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately. Once editorial work has commenced, you lose the right to cancel under the 14-day cooling-off period.
9. Refunds
40% refund if rejected following peer review; no refund on author withdrawal or desk rejection. See our full Refund Policy.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
This policy explains when a refund may be issued for the combined submission and article processing charge (£2,495.00).
2. Refund on Rejection Following Peer Review
If your manuscript is rejected following peer review, you will receive an automatic refund of 40% (£998.00) to the original payment method via our payment provider.
3. No Refund — Desk Rejection
If your manuscript is desk rejected (before peer review), no refund will be issued.
4. No Refund — Author Withdrawal
If you withdraw your manuscript at any stage, no refund will be issued.
5. No Refund — Accepted Manuscripts
If your manuscript is accepted for publication, no refund applies.
6. Processing Time
Refunds typically take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
7. Fee Waivers
Any applicable refund will be calculated based on the amount actually paid.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
Duplicate or erroneous payments will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
